Where's My Refund

You can check the status of your 2023 income tax refund 24 hours after e-filing. Please allow 3 or 4 days after e-filing your 2020 and 2021 tax year returns.  If you filed a paper return, please allow 4 weeks before checking your status.                         

What You Need

  • Your social security number or taxpayer ID number
  • Your filing status
  • The exact refund amount on your return

Deadlines can be tricky, and it’s easy to forget what you need and when you need it done. We have gather some important tax deadlines you should be aware of to make this tax season a little easier.

When to Expect Your Forms

If you’re filing an individual return, you can start as soon as late January. However, most documents needed won’t arrive until February.

You can use our Income Tax Organizer to prepare this tax season.

Employers have until January 31 to place your W–2 form in the mail. Small business owners, remember to send the forms out to your employees in a timely fashion.

Independent contractors or are self–employed should receive 1099 forms around the same time. Individuals who receive royalties, won the lottery, or collect rental income, you should receive forms for other income types.

If you didn’t received your forms or believe that they have been lost in the mail, reach out your employer immediately. You will be unable to file your taxes without all required documents.

When Should You File Your Taxes

If you are filing as an individual or have a small business, your deadline to file your federal taxes is Monday, April 15. Deadlines for individual state taxes depend on your state.

We can help to push the deadline to October 15 so that you can have extra time to get gather all of your paperwork. However, you must file for an extension before April 18 to avoid any penalties.

Child and Dependent Care Expenses

You may be able to claim the credit if you pay someone to care for your dependent who is under age 13 or for your spouse or dependent who isn’t able to care for himself or herself.
